QM's Great Hall gets multi-million pound facelift

Bleachers-bright-webLocated in the heart of London’s East end, the People’s Palace at Queen Mary, University of London is home to the Great Hall. The Grade II listed building is currently undergoing a £5 million refurbishment to restore it to its former glory combined with modern additions such as bleacher seating and a theatre-standard stage enabling flexible use of the venue. Originally opened in the 1930’s, the Great Hall has seen the likes of the Rolling Stones grace its stage, which is the second largest in London (after the London Palladium). The refurbishment is due for completion this summer and the venue, which has the capacity to seat up to 750, will be available for commercial bookings from September 2012.

In the meantime Events & Hospitality QM are able to take bookings for a variety of venues over the summer of 2012. Our facilities are able to accommodate from 10 to 750 attendees, from intimate meetings and training sessions to large conferences and exhibitions.
