ACE Member Rosamund Durnford-Slater of Conference Interpreters UK, reviews the new play at the Hampstead Theatre called "The Trial of Ubu" for other members who are interested in the subject of international show trials and the part played by conference interpreters.

It is a rare occurrence for CIUK to be contacted for advice about interpreting in The Hague but a distinguished colleague, Huboob Al Mudaffer, who worked there, gave the following guidance: "The only thing that comes to mind about The Hague is the tension and the feeling of tremendous responsibility in how you were interpreting the proceedings. It is the only conference in my experience where interpreters worked for ten minutes then gave the mike to a colleague – this just shows you the fevered atmosphere of the whole thing"

Central Hall Westminster to host World's biggest Sports awards in 2012

The 2012 Laureus World Sports Awards Ceremony will be staged at Central Hall Westminster on the evening of Monday, 6th of February. The event will be attended by the biggest names in world Sports both past and present.

Millbrook Events, located at the world famous vehicle proving ground, was the first exhibitor to sign up to the brand new UK Venue Show.  The show takes place on the 1st and 2nd February 2012 at London’s West Hall Olympia and is organised by Ocean Media Group, which runs the established Event Production Show.
