Calder Conferences to demand AIM from preferred status venues

Leeds-based Calder Conferences, which won a major contract in the summer to manage central government meetings, is to make  the Meetings Industry Association’s (MIA) AIM accreditation for the venues it uses a core requirement.

Business Visits & Events Partnership Agrees Vice Chair Positions

At its Partnership meeting in Glasgow earlier this month, the Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) agreed the appointment of four Vice Chairs for 2013; Samme Allen, President, MPI UK Chapter; Richard Foulkes, ISES International; Simon Hughes, Chairman, Eventia; and Chris Skeith, Director of AEV & ESSA.
